Brunch @ Birchwood


One of my favorite lunch/brunch spots in the city has done it again with their brunch special. Birchwood kitchen, which has never disappointed me, ever, offered a duck hash confit last week that was absolutely to die for. What made it even more delicious was hearing the chef say, "Oh you're a lucky one, you got the last one."The eggs were cooked perfectly and under, over and around the entire dish were chunks of fresh duck hash served with sweet potatoes, arugula and sunny side up eggs. My dining date ordered the Smoked Salmon and Egg Salad special on a bagel which was equally as delicious. Incase our meal wasn't pleasant enough the ever so sweet cashier sent us off with a (free) oatmeal butterscotch cookie.
