The Galapagos Islands are truly a majestic and magical place on this earth. The lush landscape and abundance of thriving wildlife is so grand you can’t seem to capture it all at once. The first time you spot a seal on land is just as amazing as the twentieth time you see it, as same goes for the rest of the unbelievable wildlife. Between blue footed boobies, land and sea iguanas, sea lions and sting rays, you can’t help but to feel nothing but gratefulness and appreciation to be able to witness such pure and natural beauty in a world where sometimes it seems as though there is none. The Galapagos Islands reminded me that although the world can often come off as a cruel cold place, there are still places on this planet that exude purity and beauty voided of all evil. The Galapagos Islands are a special place, a place where one often wonders, “How did I get here, and what did I do to deserve to witness such brilliant beauty?” The ecosystem thrives and animals coexist peacefully and pleasantly, every which way your head can turn, there is something new to admire. The Island people are fully aware of their gifted land and the life it breeds, they are proud to show it off to visitors and welcome them as if they are natives. I don’t know if I’ll ever get back to a place as tranquil and breathtaking as the Galapagos, but I do know that I will forever appreciate the journey I endured, the exquisite land I explored, the people I interacted with, the wildlife I witnessed and the food I enjoyed; I can only appreciate it all, take what I learned, and adapt it to my everyday life.
