To think that Stephanie Izard could deliver another restaurant that puts out just as creative food as her famous The Girl and The Goat establishment would be a challenge to achieve. But with a much more down to earth vibe and a menu that creates instant signature dishes like the Bulls Eye French Toast and the Shrimp and Grumpy Goat Grits, Little Goat is every gourmet diner seekers dream. The interior decor matches the quirky yet sophisticated fare where elegant meets eclectic. The menu is long and holds diner staple dishes as well as Stephanie Izard originals. An asian influence is hinted at throughout the menu with options including Tempura Mashed Potatoes, the Tonkatsu Sandwich, and the Kimchee & Bacon & Eggs & Pancake Asian Style Breakfast Tasty Thingy. The wait may be long, but once seated you can't help but to feel like a kid in a candy store while your eyes quickly try and grasp the entire menu in a few quick glances. Little Goat is quickly becoming the new Chicago dining diner hotspot and with multiple trips, I still have around 20 more things on the menu I want to try.
