Hannah's Bretzel is my Delight!
I took the train to class yesterday due to the high winds, and was totally dreading it because I dread the train. I don't know if its because I'm surrounded by strangers on a mission, or because every time I sit next to the window there is a huge grease spot from the previous metra rider (EW!). The one plus side to taking the train and walking from Union Station to school: I get to stop at Hannah's Bretzel. Located in the Loop on Washington right by Franklin, Hannah's Bretzel is not only a gourmet sandwich lovers dream but anyone who takes pleasure in finding exotic tea's and chocolates will appreciate Hannah's wall fully stocked with tea's from around the world and Chocolates from companies ranging from Vogues Chocolates to Milka. I ordered the Organic Turkey and Farmhouse Cheddar which is one of their new sandwiches. It comes on a freshly baked pretzel baguette with organic turkey, farmhouse cheddar, fresh apple crisps, organic field greens, and roasted pepper aioli. I substituted the Roasted Pepper Aioli for Mango Chutney and traded out the Farmhouse Cheddar for Swiss Gruyere, and it was absolutely amazing! Their Mango Chutney is sweet and to die for, and their freshly made Pretzel Baguettes are absolutely sensational. Finally a sandwich shop in the city other than Potbelly's and Subway!
