Lunch on Lake Titicaca

traditional Quinoa and celery soup served with a side of picante and bread

Fresh Trout from Lake Titicaca served with rice, potatoes, and vegetables

Mate de Muna. Fresh menthol like plant known to have several healing powers
This meal was eaten and enjoyed on the picturesque island of Taquile located on the sapphire waters of Lake Titicaca. With the lake to our front and the sun beaming down on the majestic terrain, this meal was made from locals and one of the best filets of fish I have ever had. The fish was tender and packed full of fresh fish flavor, and was the perfect compliment to the unbelievable views we took in while dining. This was definitely one of those meals where the food combined with the atmosphere and company made for an absolutely unforgettable dining experience.

  1. The trout looks amazing, and I'm intrigued by that drink. What kinds of healing powers?

  2. it's sort of a menthol like plant. Heals upset stomachs, nausea, sore throat, and colds. It smells absolutely amazing!
